This trip takes us to the two most iconic paragliding spots in French Alps: Annecy and Chamonix. The area is the Alps' mecca for free flight perfectly set up for paragliding. It is set against a spectacular landscape of mountains, glaciers, and lakes. At lake Annecy you can soar vertical limestone walls, fly above the blue waters of Europe’s cleanest lake, and follow mountain ridges ideal for cross country. Above Chamonix one flies around ice-capped mountains, glaciers, and gigantic rock walls. It is one of the most jaw dropping paragliding sites in Europe lying at the base of the Alps' highest mountain - Mt. Blanc.

Major flying sites on the "menu" for this tour:
• Annecy, France (Montmin, Col de la Forclaz, Planfait) - Everything a pg pilot can dream of: easy soaring, endless xc options, spectacular vistas, perfectly maintained takeoffs and LZs.
• Chamonix, France (Planpraz) - A legendary flying site in front of glaciers coming down from the highest peak of the Alps - Mont Blanc,
• Plai-Joux, France - Famous glass off site just at the entry to the Chamonix valley.
• Le Grand Bornard, France - Grand flying along the picture perfect paragliding highway of the Aravis range.

The classic route around lake Annecy is the famous "Tour du Lac". It has two versions "petit" and "grand". You takeoff at Montmin in early afternoon and soar along limestone peaks toward fantastic rock towers of Dents de Lanfon. From there you can continue toward the town of Annecy for the "grand" version or across the lake for the "Petit Tour du Lac". On the other side of the lake you soar up the never ending west-facing ridge of the Roc des Boeufs. From there you can head back toward the starting point to close your "Tour". It is a classic xc of 30-55km and a must for any visiting pilot keen on xc flying. It is a simple flight yet fantastic xc accessible even for pilots who are just starting their xc adventure.

Another great xc route joins Chamonix with Annecy leading down the impressive Aravis chain. It is an unforgettable flight of apx. 60km across various mountain chains and valleys.
