Expedition Explorers VIII
Glaciers of the Patagonian Ice Field and Istmo Ofqui
Southern Chile, Aysen region
February 2016
four days orientation camp + three weeks expedition

This season we will organize the eight incarnation of our Expedition Explorers. The plan is to explore never before explored upper Andree glacier lakes in the area of Andree glacier and explore recently dried out the outflow river of the biggest glacier of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field - San Quintin across from Istmo Ofqui. This is your chance to visit places where nobody ever been in human history. We will start and end the expedition at Laguna San Rafael. Paddling packrafts between icebergs, crossing never-ending meadows, 20 mile long sandy beach, Andean peaks, and roaring calving glaciers guaranteed. The Expedition will be led by Jarek Wieczorek - unquestionably the most knowledgeable expert on the area.

All participants need to have previous wilderness experience but nor technical climbing nor technical whitewater experience is necessary.
